Professor Powers' Science Symposium: STEAM CAMP

  • Creamery Arts Center 411 North Sherman Parkway Springfield, MO, 65802 United States (map)

9:00 AM - NOON | AGES 5-14 | CREAMERY ARTS CENTER | $150

STEAM Campers will implement creativity and scientific inquiry to complete a variety of art projects ranging from fractal art to electromagnetic ballerina spinners. We will take a field trip to IdeaXFactory, operated by artists Pam and Russ RuBert, creator of Springfield's most kinetic, interactive sculpture, the K-Man in Jordan Valley Park. STEAM artists will have the opportunity to display their work in a gallery show in the Exhibition Hall at the Creamery, with an opening reception on July 1st. This engaging, hands-on camp will show kids the amazing way science, technology, engineering, art, and math are all related by putting them in charge of projects that require creative thinking and scientific discovery.
