Senior Social: Kintsugi

Senior Social Mondays, 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. for adults age 60 and older. Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library

From 11 a.m.–noon, enjoy social time, refreshments, board games and puzzles. From noon–1:30 p.m., a Making Aging More Engaging lunch program will be provided by SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging. A $3.50 lunch donation to SeniorAge is encouraged. Call 883-1974 to register. •

• January 13: Kintsugi. Learn a modified version of “kintsugi,” the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with precious metals, thereby adding to the beauty and character of the item. Broken items will be provided so you can take home a repaired piece. Registration starts December 30.

• February 10: European Eggs. Design replicas of European eggs for display in a nest. These make beautiful gifts or can be displayed on tabletops or mantles. Registration starts January 2
