Planting milkweed to help monarchs? Excellent! Learn how you can support many other creatures we encounter through planting for pollinators. Attract native bees, butterflies, birds, and more by gardening with native host plants—including grasses, sedges, wildflowers, vines, shrubs, and trees.

The webinar, to be held via Zoom, will be 45 minutes including a question and answer session. The webinar will be recorded, and sent to all registrants as well as posted to our YouTube channel.

Paula Diaz is the principal of GardeNerd Consultations, which provides design and incorporating native plants into traditional home and business landscapes. Paula was a University of Missouri Advanced Master Gardener who actively promoted native plant gardening through the Master Gardeners Speaker’s Bureau. Paula was awarded the University of Missouri’s highest volunteer honor in 2013 by being named to the MU Extension’s Leaders Honor Roll, and is a past member of the Cass County MU Extension Council. She is a founding and current member of the Raymore Tree Board, a Grow Native! professional member, and a member of the Missouri Prairie Foundation, the Missouri Native Plant Society, and a partner of Deep Roots KC. Paula has had several articles and tips appear in general gardening and native plant specific publications. She has been a featured speaker for Master Gardener and Missouri Department of Conservation programs as well as Master Gardener certification and advanced education classes. Her passion is to create spaces which are ecologically beneficial and to share with others the joy of welcoming nature into human spaces.
